Njord Aquashipping is commissioning the construction of two advanced well-boats to enhance fish welfare and environmental sustainability in aquaculture operations. Built by Aas Mek Verksted, the vessels are designed for transporting smolt and market salmon. They will feature freshwater delousing systems using self-produced freshwater and space for additional delousing equipment, setting a new standard for efficiency in the industry.

In the quest for sustainable seafood production, effective water filtration is crucial, especially in the challenging environment of warm saltwater aquaculture. Dr. Andrew Whiston, CEO of RAS Technology Ltd is applying HEX Drum filter X²⁴-series made of non-corrosive material for his warm saltwater Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS).

To further anchor CM Aqua Technologies position as competence centre for particle control and supplier of high quality solutions for aquaculture, further investments are made in Research & Development.

Beltfilters have been supplied to well boats and de-sealicing barges for draining of back flush water from drumfilters and other filter systems in order to reduce volume of loaded water from upstream process water.

Beltfilters are in use for various applications, they cover a different range of filtration than drumfilters, as they are the chosen technology at high concentrations of dirt.

Turbulent waters at the mechanical filtration stage will lower the actual filtration result dramatically. To achieve excellent water quality, it is crucial to remove particles rather than crush them.
